Michelle Vara uses photography to expand form language, connect and cross platforms of material and space, creating dialogs on formal issues.
In making sculpture Michelle captures a physicality of object persona, and through the lens she translates dimension, that stemming from her intricately laced: emotional, conceptual, investigative and material practices.
In photography Michelle relates circumstances around objects.
She creates from found, discard and waste, using photography pedagogy to form: persona, awareness, and relevance. This cross pollinates the work forms and unbinds visuals to contextualize metaphor, exposing the endless variables that her visual language plays in.
She also sees photography as a way to free an object from place. Concepts which are transformed into pixels can travel and expand on variable platforms like the internet.
This site is under construction and samples of the work will be posted in the next few days, please come back or email for an update.
